Sounds like a noughties, female fronted Smiths. Which is a good thing!
@MJStarling Exactly. Sounds like The Smiths, not only because of the style but the guitar that at some point reminds me of Johnny Marr =)
Great band. Really underrated.
@bjbuchanan1 Agreed, they broke up 6 years ago and I found them 1 year later and loved their songs inmediately.
Great sound.. Very retro.
@mrstumbler yeah, great great sound. The voice is lovely =)
@MJStarling I'm with you on that! ...couldn't quite put my finger on it. Was initially thinking Smiths married with Joy Division. Great track!
Adore this track! Sadly they released very little; this is their stand out tune.
@cyberspiel Hey there! =) Thanks again, you have good taste!
@daveadams10 I love it too, I was thinking on choosing Memorizing the City but I preferred this one because of the vid =)
or a lighter-touch cocktail of Joy Division, The Cure and The Bunnymen - very much that period's feel anyway. great stuff.
I was thinkng Blondie at first while i tweeted away, then caught the video, very cool!
@tom2 That's true Tom, the styles reminds me of The Cure too. Cool, I'm glad you like it too =)
@Cornishson73 yeah, I think this video is their best video because you can see it's not only a female singer but a cool female band.
Reminds me a little of Alison Moyet in that she has a very androgynous voice.
@beegeeavl Agreed, not only voice but looks too. For some reason it reminds me of The L Word
Strange, reminds me of Debbie Harry. Singing with The Cure!
@AJaneTurner haha Blondie and The Cure again! Great we all agree! =)
EPIC! Where is Katie Sketch now?
@RogueOwlet Good question, but I dont know as far as I know she got married 2 years ago
@MJStarling Listen to Steven Smith from the same album - it's their response to being compared to The Smiths...
@rainbowasi Oh dear. Married ladies are too happy to sing about angst perhaps. Shame...
love the song, great album! The two of them are lovers by the way!
@RogueOwlet Oh cool, you do know about The Organ ;)
@utopia I'm glad you like it, it always feel great to know other people like what you like =)
@MJStarling I couldn't agree more!!! Just loved it!!!
The song made my day! Awesome!!!
@TonyMoura I'm glad you like it =)
