@Bukowski@thisismymistake@thesunneversets I always loved the album as a whole, though this may be affected by a particularly warm pocket of personal memories associated with it when it came out (ironically in NYC, not LA). and I think, of all my favorite bands, R.E.M. albums lend themselves the best to warm pockets of nostalgia that might affect one's judgment thereof. (I'm looking at you Automatic for the People).
@Bukowski yes, and that great album too! actually the first album of theirs I ever heard. recorded at John Mellencamp's studio in Indiana. Strange fact I just learned.

Great track, great album, great choice. From the best of the 'later' R.E.M. albums (imo).

Methinks NAiHF is a bit of a mixed bag, but E-Bow, So Fast, and this are definitely high highs.

I think it's a great album, not sure why it's generally considered a bit of a let-down. Something has to follow every hard act to follow!

let me be objective and revise that to: "my" judgment thereof.

@robbfritz Wonderfully and eloquently put. I'm looking at you 'Lifes Rich Pageant'.

My favorite R.E.M album, and a wonderful way to end it.
