Isn't that classed as walking? Not the best Serge Gainsbourg song I have ever heard, but still quite liked it (I'm not as harsh as you ;-). Think I actually preferred the Mick Harvey version, whoever the hell he is - is that bad?! :)

@melissapulo Oooh, hark at Usain Bolt there! :) Mick Harvey was Nick Cave's right hand man since they started over 30 years ago. He finally left the Bad Seeds a couple of years ago and is now PJ Harveys latest foil! That's him singing the last song on "Let England Shake"

Personally, I think that although all are pretty similar in the music, there are subtle but striking differences (to me) in the singing. Mick sounds quite regretful about leaving, Jarvis seems quite matter-of-fact, and Serge seems almost a little happy to be going! Anyway, enough of my pontificating. I'll see what the ipod throws up tonight!

@sbrennan0161 Ha, I'm no runner, but even my pace would be quicker than this song. Well, I showed my ignorance there as regards Mickey boy didn't I?! :) I understand where you are coming from with your synopsis, maybe that's why I subconsciously preferred his version, we women want regret when we are being left :)

Hey you can't mess with the master of seduction! Much as I love old Jarv!

Gary, I wouldn't necessarily call me the "Master of seduction" but thank you anyway! :)
