#AutobiographyMix This is one of those known anonymous songs. 'Aliens' has it. And realizing that this was used across movies to reinforce a learned cue as a moviegoer was important. I react to this song as sound not as music. And how does that separation occur? What happens when I listen to the whole ballet? Other Khachaturian? Anything else? Eno made ambient as located music intended to be ignored. If Cat Power opens up the possibilities of vocals of non-pop variety then "Gayane" opens the possibility of even just structure different than pop verse-chorus-verse. And you realize many types of sound that are repeated this way (e.g., Trois Gymnopédies) or the anonymous interludes and effects that are the work of powerful artists like Laurie Spiegel or Daphne Oram. All of this is feeding back on each other and ties to something as simple as nostalgic music on a Looney Tunes. It all carries into each other and there is no need to compartmentalize and separate what our ears pick up.

Listen out for the very last low note at the end ... sublime.
