#80sinApril. I could probably do a whole month pulling from the top 100 Billboard hits in 1982. So many great songs charted that year. This tune from 80s supergroup Asia, finished the year at number 40.

Theme: Supergroups! Prog band Yes had many many offshoots, of which this was one. Asia was comprised of Steve Howe (Yes - guitars), Carl Palmer (Emmerson, Lake & Palmer - drums), Jeff Downes (the Buggles - keyboardist), John Wetton (one of King Crimson's many lead singers and bassist). For a group with so many prog rock legends and new wave pioneers they are most well known for this "Big 80's" compilation staple. The rest of their discography is remarkably average. Considering the talent involved you would expect more.
