So.... I've not had a jam for a while, and that's because I've had a tough old time of it lately and listening to music has been too painful. I'm identifying with lyrics in songs I've happily sung along to for years in a new way which stings so much that I didn't feel strong enough to listen. Until now. This song popped up on my Twitter feed a few days back, and I am obsessed with it. The lyrics sting, but I'm at a new vantage point now where I can cope: this song is exactly how unrequited love feels, this song could be my refrain to the lover who's wronged me and this song has reversed the trend of being unable to listen to music which makes me examine myself too deeply. Because, while this song advocates changing to get the person you love, over the past six months I've learned that I really shouldn't have to. And I draw strength from a song which helps me realise that.   1
