“From Edinburgh, @broken_records initially began life in 2007 as a three-piece, forming around the nucleus of brothers Jamie and Rory Sutherland, and Ian Turnbull. Following a small number of low-key performances, the band expanded to a seven piece, with Arne Kolb (cello), Dave Smith (piano, trumpet), Andrew Keeney (drums), and David Fothergill (bass) completing the line up. In the latter half of 2008 the band signed to 4AD records. Broken Records released their third album, Weights & Pulleys on the 19th May 2014. I saw them live last night in Edinburgh as a 9-piece, two drummers, horns and keyboards - amazing gig! This was one of the stand-out tracks they played”
