Gounod (1818-1893) composed the Funeral March of a Marionette in 1872. It received a new lease of life in 1955 when it was first used as the theme for the television series Alfred Hitchcock Presents. Now we all know it but often can't remember what it's called. I hope this helps #myclassicalweek   1
