I Wear Your Ring by Cocteau Twins

“I'm back and wondering what I've missed. I missed jamming this on the appropriate day as had a lovely week without any wifi/mobile but anyone knowing what I'm going on about may understand that this is the album we decided to use. Virtually no-one at our wedding knew this album even then (1998), my parents did and several close friends - it worked and seemed so perfect at the time (still does). I personally love the fact that CT have both v dark and v uplifting periods (though this era not uplifting for them). I'll shut up now. Maybe. Happy A X :)”

A slightly snigger-inducing title if you have a schoolkid's mind, but that aside, a sublimely beautiful track. In my university room I often played Heaven Or Las Vegas on loop to help me get to sleep. One morning I woke up as this track was playing, the sun shone through my curtains onto my face and I had one of those 'life is perfect' moments that I'll never forget. This will always take me back to that moment...
