Written by John for the Rubber Soul album. It was a song that apparently he never liked, saying it was "his least favourite Beatles song" and describing it as "Just a sort of throwaway song of mine that I never thought much of.....It has a line from an old Presley song: 'I'd rather see you dead, little girl, than to be with another man' is a line from an old blues song that Presley did once."
We think this is a wonderful performance by the CJ's singer Margot Timmins, as she lifts the threatening words of the song up to another level, along with some atmospheric guitar from (we think?) her brother Michael!!! This version comes from the 40th anniversary "Rubber Soul" tribute album, "This Bird Has Flown".
