I'm a prisoner. A prisoner of the 70s. This however, is a voluntary captivity, in an open prison. My musical incarceration is explained by my schoolboy influences, as I suspect will be the case for most Jamsters (except girlies, as they were unlikely to have been schoolboys...well most, anyway). When I look at my Jams to date, I'm surprised how little they represent my formative years. The only reason I can summon for this, is the effect other Jams have had on my picks. So thank you fellow Jamsters, for bringing out the liberal side of my aural taste. My music collection surely reflects the phases of my life. In some small & likely cathartic way, this medium has allowed me to share the good, bad & ugly aspects, with a whole bunch of strangers, who have now become chums. I had another disc in mind for today, until my DAB Crystal Set belted out the Emeralds. It's solid 70s, though not one that I would have appreciated in my Prog yoof. Today, I love it. One benefit of advancing years...
