THE DARK HALF uses this "Are You Lonesome Tonight" in a similar way that started (?) with the tune "In the Hall of the Mountain King" from the classic Peter Lorre thriller M...it's movie making 101 these days...I imagine this is a great book, I never read it, but the screenplay and direction by George Romero is very entertaining for #cheese fans like myself
