hi all, A little story behind this song, whether BS or the gospel, matters not, I guess. Apparently, In the early blues scene with the Stones, John Mayall, Jeff Beck, The Animals Yardbirds, was fairly cliqueish, before these guys hit the big time. Rumor has it that if you had to be able to do a journeyman's rendition of this Freddie KING Masterful "HIDEAWAY' WITH his tongue in cheek riffs of Peter Gunn, a television Detective Show of the period of the early 60's. This was done by a Texan black bluesman by the name of Freddie King, revolutionary when you think Bobby Vee, Dion, Connie Francis and Beach Blanket Bingo at the movies was hip as were ratted Hairstyles so called Big Hair. A few other instrumentals of the day were the Ventures "Walk dont Rune, Booker T and the MGs, Tall cool one, Dave Brubecks Jazz Sounds, all which have become classics of a timeless quality, that I don't think many of our modern artists will achieve, but it was a different world with fewer choices.   3
