In my previous jam I spotlighted one thousand singers, drummers, bassists and guitarists performing Learn to Fly by The Foo Fighters, which Fabio Zaffagnini organized in Cesena, Italy. I said "this event has never happened before" and technically I'm right. No one has ever got a thousand fans together to play Foo Fighters before. However, @cbinseoul pointed out (and @dutchbeeblebrox confirmed) in my previous jam's comments that the band Golden Earring organized a 1992 performance in Rotterdam consisting of themselves and a thousand drummers performing their 1973 rock classic hit Radar Love. Let me know if you can think of any other similar massive performances like this, where a thousand or more fans got to jam together. I absolutely love this song. It's one of those that you need to play as loud a possible, particularly when you're in the car. My wife visible winces when she hears the opening strains because she knows what's coming next (and this is a woman who absolutely LOVES playing Led Zepplin loud). I was going to choose a more pedestrian version, but then I saw this. One song where 1000 drummers is just enough. Now if they only added a few dozen more basses ...
