The next release from Half Man Half Biscuit, was the album "This Leaden Pall". This track mentions the band Crispy Ambulance who were contemporaries of Joy Division on the Factory label, but who had little commercial success. Their lead singer once stood in for Ian Curtis who was suffering an epileptic fit, but the gig ended in a riot.The scene is recreated in the excellent film "Control".
