“I have to be honest and say that I due to my extreme aversion to hyperbole I could never give this album a fair listen, too much nattering on about the " tragic artiste." It's not that i didn't think his death untimely and, well, tragic, it's just that it sent the hype about him into overdrive... Anyway, I've heard this song the other day and was blown away. I get the appeal. And feel the loss.”

Thanks to @boredofthis for reminding me it will be 20years on Aug 23rd since the release of the fantastic album Grace. I first discovered Jeff Buckley watching this performance on The Late Show. Myself and my now husband were spellbound. I bought the album shortly after and it became one of my favourite albums ever. Watch out for his response to the cliche introduction and lazy comparison with his father. A huge loss to music.   3
