“Thanks to Terrence @tpdorsey for the introduction to Jo Ann Kelly's fantastic voice and music as up until a short while ago when he jammed a fantastic track by her I had never heard of her before. But after a little googling it seems she was a British #blues singer/guitarist born in 1946 who was much admired by the blues world and both Canned Heat and Johnny Winter tried to recruit her to their bands but she was resigned to staying and living in the Country of her birth were she worked the European club circuit. After suffering from band headaches in the 1980's she was finally diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour which was removed but sadly she died the following year in 1990 from cancer aged just 46. I'm so glad that I have now discovered her music. Enjoy...”
