As I drove home tonight I heard the sad news of John Tavener's death. Another musical genius who has left too early. The Protecting Veil has a special resonance for me and so would be one of my desert island discs. This is the first of 8 sections. If you like it you should check out the rest as it gets very dramatic. #johntavenerrip
