Change of the Guard by Kamasi Washington

“Leave it to Flying Lotus and co. to pick out the best of the best in their respective fields for the indie label Brainfeeder. I already showcased Thundercat on here, but now it’s Kamasi Washington’s turn to shine in the spotlight. I was finally able to sit down for an uninterrupted listen of his album The Epic and was in absolute awe of the scope, tension, range, and visceral nature of the music on this record. This track in particular is one of many to feature both a orchestra and choir, and one of the best sax solos Washington has put out to date.”

This album is amazing, jazztastic! Although it's a lot to take in (it's nearly 3 hrs long)
