Mass Appeal Madness by Napalm Death

“This little ditty is the opening track on Napalm Death's Death by Manipulation LP. A vinyl I bought in the early 90's, when I was mostly listening to Ned's Atomic Dustbin, Nirvana, The Cure and Iron Maiden. I bought this from a wonderful little now defunct record shop called Penny Lane records and when me and my bff (lol) got it back to his it introduced me to a world of harsh and impenetrable music, once I got over that and heard the music behind the noise it wasn't long before I was delving deeply into the realms of earache and peaceville to find this new mirth. I started collecting mostly on tape every obscure looking band I could find and soon discovered that there are many facets to metal music, My Dying Bride being so wonderfully dark and heavy but a stark contrast to the pummeling sound of Napalm Death. Check out MDB's the Angel and the Dark River, an excellent album by any standard and too in my favourite vinyl box.”
