One of my personal favorite covers of all time. This band was so good.   1

I am wrapping up #FavCovers with my all time favorite band, only seems fitting. This was a hard one for me, as this concert was full of some of the best covers around ( Man Who Sold the World, Lake of Fire, to name just a few) Kurt's voice on this gives me goosebumps.  He brought so much of his own personal pain to his singing. This show almost didn't happen, the producers wanted Nirvana's popular songs and to cover songs that were well known, the band wanted to cover lesser known songs. At the end of the show Kurt argued with the producers, they wanted him to do an encore but he felt he couldn't top this song. Filmed Nov. 19th 1993, aired Dec. 16th 1993. Five months after the taping the world lost a gifted young man, I cried that day and while writing this. Original song by  legendary blues guitarist Leadbelly~   11

This, my friends, is how you cover a song.   9

I love this because some moments are just perfect #PrisonJam.  A toss up whether I should jam the original 1944 https://youtu.be/a6yCEsDsGx4 by #LeadBelly who spent time on the chain gangs and recorded hundreds of songs while doing time in 1934.  I chose this #Cover because it's my Jam and although it was a deeply moving performance, Kurt was in a prison of sorts too.   4
