Been listening to this a lot (sadly the studio version isn't on here). Like RATM's Know your enemy, just as relevant over 20 years later. #trainedlike dogscolorandsmell
when we have a week like we are having now, I think about this song, the meaning behind it, the fact that this issue is constant, as we collectively rage and inevitably forget, some opt to just not think about it, or worse deny facts of our society. this has happened before, it will happen again, and it is corrosive & sad.

Woke up with this song stuck in my head one morning this week.
“He won the lottery when he was born
Took his mothers white breast to his tongue
Trained like dogs, color and smell
Walks by me to get to him
Police man
Police man
“He won the lottery by being born
Big hand slapped a white male American
Do no wrong, so clean cut...
Dirty his hands, it comes right off
Police man
Police man
“Police stopped my brother again”
