So the story goes... The Scream were late delivering Screamadelica and Bobby Gillespie was in no fit state to record his vocals for Slip inside this house, so Throb stepped in with his best Bobby G impersonation in the hope that nobody noticed. Adios Throb! A sad day for Rock and Roll :(

For some reason when I first moved to Los Angeles, I felt it was bad luck not to listen to this album when I drove--talk about OCD! I had it playing continuously in my car. It reminds me of working at Universal Studios and living in a really nice apartment without any furniture or electricity (My cell phone was dead, and my roommates didn't have one, so we couldn't call for service for the first few weeks--the neighbor lent us a flashlight), sleeping on the floor in a sleeping bag in the living room with my two roommates, and playing cards for entertainment. Seriously, though, it's the one-and-only time in my life where I really felt alive. And even though I listened to this album nonstop, it's still one of my top 10 albums of all time. I don't think I'll ever get sick of it.
