I have to say I fell in love with this song thanks to this wonderful, sublime scene from "The Talented Mr Ripley" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mT-fOr29OfA and long before that "We No Speak Americano" cover that I'd rather not discuss, anyway, this is sung in Neapolitan language, not Italian and is about Italian guys who acted like they were American. The song is generally considered to be a satire on the process of Americanization that occurred in the early post-war years, when southern Italy was still a rural, traditional society (thanx wiki)   7
