Money Road by Rosanne Cash

“We went to see Rosanne playing a duo gig with husband John Leventhal last week. This was at the Union Chapel in Islington, which she says is one of her favourite venues anywhere in the world (loads of musicians love it because of the excellent acoustics to say nothing of visual element provided by the stained glass). They were on great form, clearly enjoying playing and finished their set with this: a song about a place deep in the heart of the south steeped in history and mystery - where Emmett Till met his end; where Robert Johnson is allegedly buried and close to the Tallahatchie Bridge, made so famous by Bobby Gentry. A place called Money Road.”
