....because I just finished Ernest Cline's novel "Ready Player One" which was a delight for a geeky guy like me who was raised in the 80s. This song was mentioned in the book, and I've never heard it before (I've never delved into Rush beyond what is played on the radio), so I wanted to give it a listen.

Saving a doozy of a song for my last jam, so I thought I'd use my second last jam on the first song I ever put on this site: 2112 by Rush. It was weird going through my jam history though. Not just because I noticed 'Eyes Without a Face' is the only song I've jammed twice, but because I still remember why I put specific songs on there - the feelings I was going through at the time, or just something that happened around the time a song got stuck in my head. It's mostly little stuff but it means a great deal to me, strangely enough. There are a lot of memories indirectly cataloged on this website and it makes me feel sad to know that it's going. I'm told there are other websites that do the same thing, but I'll probably not use them. Not out of anything as misguided as "loyalty" for a website but just because I'd like to maintain the integrity of what I shared here. I've never had to deal with one of my favourite websites closing down before. It's strange. I don't like it.
