Some modern #hippiedaze for @debutch from the smoky voiced siren of St Etienne. Drift....   5

The first impression of Saint Etienne vocalist´s new solo album. According to her, inspiration was provided from records by Ennio Morricone, Joe Meek, the Beach Boys, Marianne Faithfull, baroque pop and Felt. Ideas were drawn from records where the productions are properly out there; records where an odd instrument or noise sits right at the top of the mix and becomes the hook.

(Pleasantly) surprised that she's still at it, but this is lovely.
