From one of the albums that made me realize what a treasure trove my mom's record collection was.
#WorldCupJams #Brazil2014 So, if we're goin' to celebrate Brazil, there's no way we can do it without this song, one of those songs that the minute you hear it you're thinkin about Brazil, the sun, the beach, etc etc, and it also has the beautiful singin of my beloved Lani Hall.
The 1938 FIFA World Cup was held in France from 4 June to 19 June. Italy retained the championship, beating Hungary 4–2 in the final. Vittorio Pozzo the Italian coach became the first, and to this day, only coach to ever won two World Cups. Only three non-European nations took part (out of 16 countries playin the tournament).
