Sasolburg. July 1970. I had just bought the LP "The Graduate". And was coming to Sasolburg's one and only bug-house the following week. But I never did get to see it. That Friday I would be one of many silent, distant young men saying goodbye to mothers and sisters in obedience to the official notice. The soft music, smooth lyrics always take me back to that time. The next time I listened to that LP I had grown. But when I hear it now, I recall the hollow feeling in my gut, the tight band around my chest....
