“Here's the latest single from a band I love... and maybe you've never heard of. Spain is a LA-based outfit, led by Josh Haden (son of jazz great Charlie Haden). Their debut disc "The Blue Moods of Spain" (1995) remains one of my all-time favs. Not surprisingly, it's a perfect slice of TragicBeauty – of the narcotic, languid, smoky and spiritual variety. Where's Spain's music veers from my traditional tragically beautiful loves is it's jazzy feel, and Christian themes that run through much of their music.”
