Spent all morning listening to Steely Dan and being swept away by a simpler time when lyrics seemed true and those guitar solos were redolent of more than pyrotechnics ... something deep within our souls (or perhaps something passing for it). So then I was faced with which song, and decided 'Josie' was rebellious and sassy enough to start the weekend ... It's hard to imagine a band that had more beautifully crafted tunes and in such a short time span: mid 70's to 1980. I once fancied myself a kind of Josie too ... BTW, I always think of the poet Phillip Larkin when I listen to Steely Dan ... My #FinalJam. I've been jamming each song off Steely Dan's outstanding album "Aja" as my #LastJams over the past week and a half. Today is the closing track "Josie". I've been fortunate enough to see Steely Dan 5 times and they've played this tune all but one show. Other than "My Old School", no other tune gets the crowd dancing in the aisles more than this one. So I'll go out on a high note. Thanks everyone who have made this site so enjoyable. Our shared love of music brought us to this site, but I truly believe it was the camaraderie and banter that kept us all here. It is a bummer to leave it. And I certainly must get over to the UK someday because I know a good majority of the folks here are from there, and you all are just such kind people. Thanks again everyone and I look forward to keeping up the Jams over at Let's Loop. #ThanksTIMJ   21
