Just noticed I'm coming up to 100 jams so decided the next five are going to be a brief sojourn through some of my favourite ever songs. First up is this, which is approaching 1,500 plays in iTunes and is something I listen to every single night as it's on my sleeping playlist – I've had tinnitus since I was 11 so silence bothers me, which probably helps to explain why music became and remains so important to me. It's an extraordinarily beautiful piece, full of warmth and wistfulness, and is something that absolutely floored me the first time I heard it in 2006. If sounds were physical objects, this would be the childhood blanket your grandma knitted you that your mum covered you with when you fell asleep on the sofa on a rainy Sunday.   3
