I do love Beatles, but sometimes I just prefer the ATU version - well Evan, Jim and Joe are just fantastic

Been on a bit of a Beatles kick again recently (blame The Powerpuff Girls), so here's one of my three favourite Beatles tracks.   1

Countdown: De Duizelende Duizend (The Staggering Thousand) Number 471. [from album: The Beatles (The White Album)] [year: 1968] https://www.facebook.com/DeDuizelendeDuizend

My Top 10 Albums of All-Time ~ 4. The Beatles - The White Album (1968) ~ It is with great courage that I select...THE BEATLES! It's boring, I know, but it's necessary. Now, here's where the actual controversy comes into play. I waxed poetic about choosing Can's Tago Mago over Ege Bamyasi because it was the more cohesive album despite the latter being a better collection of songs. Now, I select the sprawling, relatively inconsistent (compared to other Beatles albums), jumbled collection that is the White Album, rather than more cohesive albums like Abbey Road or Revolver. I'd like to say I have some brilliant explanation for this discrepancy, but I do not. Despite the inconsistency -- or perhaps because of it -- I find the Beatles' 1968 eponymous record to be perfect in its own right. It's some kind of statement that the Beatles released this kind of sprawling giant between the two most carefully (and pretentiously) arranged albums of their career (Sgt. Pepper and Abbey Road).   14
