Continuing with another of The Fabs enormous hit singles, that also "screams Beatlemania". Recorded and released in late '63. Manager Brian Epstein had asked John & Paul to write a song with the American market in mind. The single became the one that really established them in the U.S., becoming their first number one there. In the U.K. alone, it had over one million copies advanced orders!! To quote one Beatles source after the release of this single "And then it was bloody pandemonium!" In the first 3 days of release, it has been reported as selling 10,000 copies an HOUR in New York City alone!!!! This clip features the band's appearance on British comedians "Morecambe and Wise" TV show, with some banter at the end.

fun #cheese that i last watched with my kids when they were still kids about 10 years ago...we were in the midst of a music flicks stretch that included the likes of THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY, LA BAMBA, SELENA and THE RUTLES among others...that was a fun time in life
