TRULY Shocking lyrics in this song and I hope I haven't trod on @aHandfulOfRain 's toes & posted the number one of his 'most disturbing songs' theme ahead of him!
The singer & songwriter Colin Meloy actually wrote this dreadful tale while his own child was still a toddler but I suppose that shows the steely-eyed focus of an imaginative & intelligent Artist at work.
I think that the most chilling line in this song is the very last one..brrrrrr!...
