the more well known version with merritt on vocals came up on my spotify discover plist this morning, and i was mildly disappointed as this is the one i grew up in HS knowing. got dude friends in town who always go on about how impatient they were with anyone but merritt singing (read: women) and i always think silently "are you cray?" he's fine but the other singers were fantastic (where's beatnikside when you need him to back you up on something musically, huh). "we got beat up/just for holding hands"
