Fear Eats the Soul by The Servants

“I would be excited to share more Servants songs with fellow fans... please comment if you like this. Still sounds fresh and lyrically insightful. I think this album displays original and exciting ideas, drawing from diverse traditions. I love Westlake's voice and lyrics - out of what are often termed the musical poets, such as Morrissey, Dylan, Cohen to take the obvious examples, Westlake is the one who I hear most clearly. In the 'pataphysical sense, this music is anticipatory: I can hear a number of recent indie and pop bands in this album, but I doubt any would have listened to this album due to its obscurity. I find it bewildering that they remained so obscure. J'aime beaucoup The Servants!”
