1) To celebrate the first half of the Relative Excursion. One of my favourite things in the world is to play Clayton Park when leaving the Langdale ferry. Once I hit the Sechelt SPCA, I start "The Day We Hit the Coast", so by the time the trees give way to the expanse of Davis Bay and the ocean makes its first impressive appearance, the chorus kicks in, and I sing my face off. Always a feel good moment. 2) Internetworld really needs to experience this song & video in HD
