Once again, no-man’s Tim Bowness has thrust some new solo material upon the world in the form of a heavy, brooding track that waxes philosophic on the dramatic changes made in how we listen to music, and the relevance music has in the world today. Melodically, it lacks the upbeat gutso that Bowness brought with his 2014 single “The Warm-Up Man Forever”, but he more than makes up for it in a surprising post-rock-esque crescendo as he occasionally channels his partner-in-crime, Steven Wilson, in places.
