Don't Stop Me Now by Toto with Miles Davis

“This is one of my favorite album ‘coda’ tracks ever. Miles was a troubled genius, reportedly (in all fairness, I never met him in person, so I don’t know, I can only rely on what’s been reported), ‘a bit’ of a prick—like many of those struggling, and so often failing, to merge their ordinary lives among us, measly earthlings, and their sublime drive to create the extraordinary, inspiring art; Steve Lukather and David Paich may not have that Miles’s genius spark but have definitely masterfully created what he was able to build upon—seemingly simple but exquisite and uniquely ‘Miles-y.’—a perfect balance. Whatever one can say about Toto (I, personally, still like them), however cheesy (again, a matter of taste) roads they’ve tended to roam, there are a few really great tracks they’ve written and this is one of them. Fahrenheit as a whole, is my favorite Toto album, with Joseph Williams doing a great job as lead vocals, but this short instrumental is definitely my favorite one from it.”
