The Ghost of the Violin by Walter Van Brunt & Maurice Burkhart

“I've been perusing some lists of halloween songs, and I've noticed that I don't like most of what's on offer- nothing post 80s whatsoever seems to fit the way I see the holiday aesthetically- it should be ancient, or failing that, at least somewhat antique. That means the 1900-1939 side of any list is what sounds just about right. These songs, some Fleischer Bros cartoons (and a few select Silly Symphonies) and Dennison's Bogie Book- that's All Hallow's to me.”
