After a truly exhausting week-this as always restores normality....
#XTCweek. Wrapping it up with this quite gem. Another melancholy choice from me. Beautiful harmonies, musical perfection. I am so happy that since joining TIMJ my songs with the most "listened to" and "likes" are XTC's; seems only fitting.

#ABCsOfMe X is for XTC I know, its predictable, but they and DM are my favorite bands and I have/had a huge crush on Andy... This song soothes my soul...XTC can calm the racing of my mind, especially on a day like today. Whimsical at times, angry, political, heartbroken ..their music covers a full range..always perfect for any mood I am in

The superbly produced 'Oranges and Lemons' of 1989 saw XTC back in the top 30 for the first time since 'English Settlement', with a number one hit in the US Modern Rock singles chart. Choosing one track from this double LP of sheer wonderfulness was tough but I've gone for Andy Partridge's sublime closing track. #xtcweek #xtcfortnight
