i love it...brings back so many great memories when the tahitians would come to visit my in-laws from tahiti,,,they spoke french and tahitian and very little english...music and laughter was our common language
I've never been to Tahiti but would love to go. I tend to like the faster Polynesian tempi. Hawaiian music had fast tempi in the late 19th and early 20th century but then they slowed down and have been mellow ever since. The Tahitians really do fast-paced music and keep flying that flag.
