Chills....The ARTS are so important in our schools..I don't care what the country..This type of creativity and this type of passion harnessed early is Incredible...I found my love for music early, in an orchestra and in a choral ensemble..it stays with you..it truly does.
@SheRa I read that older adults who took music lessons at a young age could produce speech faster than those who did not take music lessons. Plus music training has a positive affect on the brain which helps for healthy aging (according to Nina Kraus, a neuroscientist at Northern University)..
@teen WOW very interesting...I hope all of those things are true ;-) I am actually thinking of learning a new instrument, just because. If it benefits me as I age great! for now it's always fun to keep challenging myself and the excitement of learning new things.
@SheRa This was an article in the New York Times "Science" section that I read a few years back...if you have an opportunity to learn a new instrument, you should, I want to see you play your music on this website in the future...
@teen Aww thanks!!! Challenge accepted...When I grow up I will be paid to write which is also a passion of mine, there is nothing that says I can't be successful at more than one thing!!!

@paulgdaly - I read somewhere that this has been officially approved by JP (and what mean SOB he would appear if he didn't!)

@twistymellorman @paulgdaly I would hope that Jimmy Page would see the potential of these young musicians and not be offended by it...
