Back in '97 this track caused a stir for its lyrics and promo video. But if you set all that aside, and just listen to the music, it is actually really good. It's a weird key, Bb minor, and it has a strange Indian style of singing solo that sets it apart from everything outside Nitin Sawhney. This is ostensibly dance / Big Beat/ Rave music and therefore not really my scene, as I detest mechanised beats, drum machines and car-alarm repetition -- but when I caught a live performance on telly a few years ago, I was quite taken with them especially the drumming and sheer energy. This is my fave track, it must be a classic as it just doesn't age. Enjoy!
