Grumbling Fur consist of Daniel O’Sullivan (Ulver, Guapo, Mothlite, Miasma & The Carousel of Headless Horses), Antti Uusimaki (Mothlite, Panic DHH), Jussi Lethisalo (Circle, Pharaoh Overlord), David Smith (Guapo, Miasma & The Carousel of Headless Horses, The Stargazer's Assistant, Amal Gamal) and Alexander Tucker (Alexander Tucker).
@simonp If you haven't noticed Miasma & The Carousel of Headless Horses topping the hit parade, or coming through your area on one of their many stadium-filling world tours, I have to question how much attention you've been paying to popular music...
love that name in particular @thesunneversets but unless @shme can enlighten us as @thisismymistake suggests then I'm calling Auto Name Generator for this lot. Actually that's quite a good name too...
@simonp Have located them on Spotify and listening to their 2005 album now. Particularly excited about the tracks "Reddening: Blood Of The Pelican" and "Gypsy Funeral: Hark! From The Tombs Of Doleful Sound" in my near future...
I didn't realise how sacred I'd allowed that scene to become until hearing this and feeling like a certain blasphemy was being perpetrated! It's an artful and melodic iconoclasm mind, so forgiven. Just! :)
@simonp@thisismymistake Unknown to me, except that I learned now that the members of Circle and Pharaoh Overlord are connected to the cheeky Finnish synth band called Aavikko (=Desert), whose music I've enjoyed... Big thanks @thesunneversets for the jam!
