They did a fine job on this cover. I don't much about these young folks other than they are becoming pretty popular here in the US. Never heard a tune though, and though they would just be kind of a bubblegum pop group. That'll teach me to judge a book by its cover.
Probably the most rockin' girl band since the Runaways. The guitar players have chops. Any group that respects Peter Green's most perfect blues bomb gets my respect.
@kfarrnd We both made the same mistake, Kev! I read an article in today's Glasgow newspaper (very rock&roll;) about the 3 days of the 'T'festival and this caught my eye. I'm a sucker for GreenyMac and I flipped the vid up on my phone and saw a few breakfast diners nodding their approval (at least I eat in a rock&roll; cafe!). My full respect to these rockin' gals!!
That's two good new bands I've found since joining TIMJ, Haim & Temples. Thanks for the upload. Gotta agree with @scrit, they're the best I've heard since the Runaways, (sorry Girlschool!).
Ah - I know what you mean - I'd be inclined to do the festivals - if I could afford some luxurious yurt - that offered high standards of hygiene! But anyways , that's not a bad cover Mr B - and get you with all the sunshine - it's raining down South!
@lindatee I'm just too civilized to festivalise, Jeanie!! It's a terrific cover effort from ones so young... oh and our summer spell fell on its backside today...hey ho, at least all those pogoists got sunburnt for a change... :-)
@ian38018 Zactly Ian! I truly don't like my 60s/70s blues/prog/rock faves being tampered with, but these kids are so into it, you've gotta' give credit where it's due.
@christineb Cheers Chrissy. Now that's my kind of karaoke! I think it's their sheer joy of that era of music (allied to their musical skills) that I enjoy. Great gals... :-D
@BarneyRubble Hey Rubbs! They seem to be, do they not. I'd be just about their biggest fan, if it wasn't breaking several rather crucial laws, for a chap of my age... ;-D
@Cranky ...and that Cranks, is the great thing 'bout TIMJ. We all have our opinions about music, but unlike UToob, no-one gives anyone else a seriously hard time (or verbal abuse!) If ya' don't like somethin', skip it and wait for a Likey. Now about your aversion to Deacon Blue...how very dare you... ;-D
Well, as an English lover of 'Jock Rock' I couldn't relate to them at all. Scotland's been more than kind though and given me Alex Harvey, The Cocteaus, The Skids, & most importantly, Stuart Adamson and John Mcgeoch R.I.P.
@Cranky Some great, great names in that list ma' friend. Lookin' forward to seeing them on your forthcoming posts...see, I've forgotten all about Deacon Whatstheirnames already... :-D
I've seen them do this a bunch of times. All cred to their tastes. One of my all time faves and one of the first licks I used to use to impress chicks back in the day. However hell must have frozen over when wee lassies in quite short shorts (pass me those spectacles) can have the audacity to attempt such testosteronic music. Damn. How very dare they!!!
@daved ...wee lassies in quite short shorts...disgusting. Didn't happen in my day. Hairy-arsed rockers & unshaven, unkempt geezers, axing their way through monster toons. Still...lassies in short shorts, eh.....hmmmm....ahem, sorry Dave, have been 'requested' to follow two officers to some station or other... Still, short shorts, eh... ;-D
@CaptainJam Cheers Skip. Great link. I'm hearing rather a lot of these gals since my post. Disgustingly talented...not that I'm struck by petty jealousy or envy, you understand... ;-)
I didnt think I liked Haim but I liked this...
Driving listening to the wifes mp3 player and a song came on and I asked "whos this" Haim she replied, Oh I said, I dont like Haim but I liked that song too.
Perhaps I do like them after all with the sex face and everything, my guilty pleasure perhaps.
Ah yes...love the percussion at the start...although I was.a tad disappointed they didn't have the energy for the full 9 minute version, which to me goes with the title...oh well...
Great cover! I remember seeing Fleetwood Mac on the Rumours tour.Lindsay Buckingham did an admirable job on this one. It seemed even longer than 9 minutes - but that might just be my fading memory banks.
@curtywyshart Hey Curts! Yes, fading memory banks. Got that and the t-shirt!! Yep, those wee Haimians give Greeny's classic, a fair run for it's money. Funny, though I like the other Mac, I can't imagine Buckingham/Nicks covering those originals. Two separate bands, best kept apart I think... :-)

Brilliant rendition of such an iconic track.
PSYCHOACTIVE
very good cover, and the part where fleetwood mac is just lying 'I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin' she ain't :D
donuno
Ah yes...love the percussion at the start...although I was.a tad disappointed they didn't have the energy for the full 9 minute version, which to me goes with the title...oh well...

@Sid_Bonkers I believe selective Haim enjoyment is entirely permissible, Sid...sex face & all... :-D
21schizoid
@kompani101 In total agreement my friend... :-D
21schizoid
@PSYCHOACTIVE Haha. Indeed. A descriptive line, completely unrelated to the girly vocalist... :-D
21schizoid
@donuno With you Sir Don. I think it's a fantastic effort. However like you, i'm up for that glorious 9minute version, every time... :-D
totty01843
seems they are having fun and making good music, not all bad ;-) that a start to anything
21schizoid
@totty01843 Indeed totts. I'd never fault any kids their age, with that ability and super enthusiasm!! :-D
