@AlicejustMay As a selection of songs Ege Bamyasi' is their best album although 'Tago Mago' works better as a complete album. My Sunday consists of Tom Waits, The Fall and Can; small wonder some of my Monday morning lesson plans are a little surreal.
@Bukowski Yes: I'm reading a novel called "I'll Go to Bed at Noon" by Gerard Woodward, which is about a family steeped in alcoholism. I started it thinking it was going to be similar to William Styron's Darkness Visible, but it had me hooked very early on. Set in the 70s, excellent prose style.
@Bukowski Ah... Tom Waits. As I said recently, one of my life's ambitions is to drive across the States with a dog riding shotgun and Tom Waits coming through the speakers.
@AlicejustMay Or 'Travels With my Aunt' by Graeme Greene. I can't drive so feel limited when it comes to road trips, really. You can borrow The Dog though...
@simonp I've reviewed quite a lot of those, but I've got my favourite video of the year and it's not any of the ones featured. I've already jammed it, but don't know when to jam it again - d'you know what everyone else is doing regards posting their own faves?

@AlicejustMay Thank you for the book recommendation. Sounds like a nice drive; in a Hunter S. Thompson sort of way. x

AlicejustMay
@Bukowski Nah, I'd have to be more responsible if I had a dog with me. x

Can does great driving music. The motorik beat, even on slower songs like this.

Also reminds me a lot of something from Pink Floyd's "A Saucerful of Secrets".
