Haha definitely not a fiend, but I've been going since I was 19 or 20 (I'm 37) - not every day and I do have my slumps from time to time! My bass diet is a vegan burrito for lunch and dinner, so I have the fruit protein shake in the morning and a chocolate, peanut butter and banana protein shake in the evening (which helps curb my sweet tooth as well). Don't worry, I have some serious weaknesses in pizza, cookies and sometimes beer, especially in the winter when I crave comfort food.
@shiningsun2k Ah, comfort food season... I find there's nowhere to run every time it comes round. Have just come back from my first swim of the year and confirmed how out of shape I am, but hey ho - it was fun stuffing myself senseless over Christmas. Got a sous vide machine and a blender as gifts so am experimenting with eating properly at the moment... who knew artichoke soup could be so fiddly to make?
I really hate cooking and preparing food. I sometimes wish I enjoyed it the way a lot of my friends do, but I'd just rather spend my time doing something else. I spend about 45 min to chop and/or cook veggies and prepare the burritos, but it gives me 16 meals (I freeze them). I season them to taste good, but having the same thing all the time does get old quickly. I allow myself two greasy meals a week though (when I'm on track and being good). Anyway, I do enjoy experimenting with my blender.
And there really is nowhere to run when comfort food season comes around. Gloom and cold always trigger the cravings and it's just so damn gloomy and cold here during the winter. How am I supposed to compete with that?
@shiningsun2k You're not. Give in to it. Treat yourself to a layer of winter insulation round the old bones and make up for it extra hard afterwards because the only place to run is to the fridge till March.
HA! You're my kind of personal trainer/coach! I had pizza and cookies this evening. You know, strategically, for insulation. By the way, I put on an episode of The A-Team while I was eating dinner and waiting for friends to arrive, and the title of that episode was 'Cup Of Joe', which brought your jam back to mind and made me laugh. :)

I had a chance to see them supporting Tune-Yards and didn't arrive in time, a bit gutted!

@thesunneversets Noooo! Gutting indeed. Was Tune_Yards good, though? I'd imagine she was?

Oh yeah, I'll always go to see a Tune-Yards show if there's one in town. She's weird and wonderful and one of a kind!

Bummed right now because I just realized their show here is sold out...
thisismymistake
(That said, they were bubbly bouncy fun opening for Wye Oak...)

You really are the go-to guy for live shows, @thisismymistake! x

Just finished my usual morning blueberry & banana protein shake. Who needs tea or coffee? Lovely song though. :)

@shiningsun2k Blinkin' flip, that's healthy. Are you a gym fiend?

Just come back again for another minimalist cuppa ;-)
