You aren't kidding. LOVE this and never heard of them before. Love the '80s vibe and his vocals - I'm trying to think of who they remind me of. Maybe a little of the Pet Shop Boys? Anyway, fantastic jam and I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of the album.

@shiningsun2k is right. I could almost expect Neil Tennants' voice gliding in at some point!

@debutch @shiningsun2k Hey - meant to say - nice to see you both in your avatars now! Am currently watching the election... The SNP is winning by a landslide here in Scotland (huzzah) - but depressing to see the Tories look like they might get a majority vote :(

@AlicejustMay I wondered what you were doing up at this hour! My excuse is the graveyard shift. sssh! Don't tell. I'm supposed to be working! Yes, I see the SNP are blitzing the opposition up your way. There'll be more seats won up there than the 58 predicted methinks. Good luck to you & all you lovely Scots. I think we'll still be seeing Camerons' smug rotund face smirking from number 10 in the morning, though. :-((

A little bittersweet then, huh. Discouraging, the number of seats going to the Tories. I like to think @debutch is literally working the graveyard shift, but I'm a little curious myself. ;)

@shiningsun2k Yeah... I've come upstairs to my office to get some work done while I'm still awake enough so I don't know how the votes have gone the past couple of hours as I've resisted checking and it's very quiet up here. It's 5.20am and the dawn chorus has died down. A young fox has come to check his breakfast bowl (he's a regular) and is having a little roll around on the lawn. I'm knackered.

5:20?! It's 12:30 here now, about an hour later than I intended to stay up - I only gave myself four hours of sleep yesterday and meant to catch up tonight, but I had friends over and we hung out longer than expected. Anyway, I hope you get some sleep. I for one try my hardest to beat sunrise to bed 'cause I hate trying to go to sleep when the sun is already coming up, so I hope you have less issue with it than I do. Best of luck and take it easy.

@shiningsun2k The term "graveyard shift" goes back about 200 years where an employee of a funeral directors were given the unenviable task of sitting up in a graveyard all night long to see if the recently buried deceased WAS actually dead. ( There were many catastrophic forensic declarations made in those days where poor unfortunate souls were buried alive!) A long piece of string was tied to the hand of the 'deceased' leading to a bell next to the watchman......'just in case'!!!

@AlicejustMay Sounds like a peaceful bucolic scene where you are, Alice! :-) Get some rest now. I wouldn't want to hear that you've burnt yourself out. x

@debutch crazy. I did learn about that at some point, but I'd forgotten the details. Thanks for the refresher! So... Is that what you're doing? ;)

@debutch Went to bed around 7am, having spent half an hour beforehand watching another fox regular put on a bit of a floor show with his erstwhile pal Mr Raven. It is pretty quiet here, yes; and we see some mighty entertaining stuff, wildlifewise. The fox and the raven genuinely seem to tease each other in fun, while a smaller raven (the missus?) watches from a little way off in a manner that suggests she's rolling her eyes. Doh! Cameron's in...

...all I keep thinking of is that old Stephen King Movie 'The Dead Zone', where Martin Sheen plays an aspiring president who is secretly evil...

Meanwhile, distract yourself with some not-quite-so-wild life featuring our Office Cat, who aspires to - oh, I don't know what he aspires to; he's a law unto himself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiz-ibwiXVQ

@AlicejustMay I can just imagine a lovely rural 'Constable' style scenario to the background of your wildlife frolicking! Sounds Heavenly.......a leader of a nation that is secretly evil? Who could ever imagine such a thing? :-) .....and that cat has beautiful table manners! ( your actual office cat?.....) :-) x

@AlicejustMay BTW, AMAZING results and accomplishment for the SNP last night. If I were Scottish, I would vote for them too BUT I feel that the repercussions on Labour has devastated them and possibly their future. If the SNP continue with this kind of success, then Labour may never win a general election again & we could be facing a Tory Government for eternity! What do you think?

Really digging this band. There's something of Billy Mackenzie in his voice.

Good chance you've already seen this, but your office cat brought it to mind and it's pretty hilarious. https://youtu.be/PKffm2uI4dk

a @shiningsun2k Yes!!! I do know it - our 15 year old, Eve, is a big fan of ZeFrank. So we watched it again and reminded ourselves how cats truly view us :) Great to listen to your tracks in the playlist, by the way! Really enjoying them popping up along the way. Really like Cleopatra's Cat and was very surprised to see it was by the Spin Doctors - haven't listened to them since '96!
